Coco Electric - Strange Days EP

Coco Electrik was formed in the mid noughties with a split 12” with Tom Vek that received instant praise from the likes of Tiga, Maurice Fulton and Erol Alkan. Two albums and nearly 100 gigs later, after a few years hiatus, Strange Days EP,  is now ready to unleash upon the world.

Strange Days EP is the third major release from Coco Electrik, and sees a return to their more psychedelic selves. Strange Days is an electro-psych dreamscape, not too distant from the likes of James Blake and Can, whereas Alice takes a poppier route with one foot firmly in the land of disco. Booty Guy is wall-of-sound-Phil-Spector-esque meets Conan Mockasson and Elektrify is a glam stomper dripping with expectation and late night thrills.

Coco Electrik’s music has appeared on TV and ads around the world including Underbelly (Aus) and Target Fall campaign 2013 (US). The EP has been produced by Kreeps, whose music has featured on both Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption.
